The members of the Red Bull BC One All Stars travel the world. They meet each other on tour or at events, but are never really all in one place. So they make a point of coming together twice a year, to catch up. In February, they met in Rio de Janeiro, the birth-place of Samba and Capoeira and the hosting city for our Red Bull BC One Final 2012 in December.

Three of the members were missing in Rio. Lilou is on tour with Madonna, Hong 10 is in the army and can’t really take time off just yet, and Taisuke couldn’t make it either.

So it was only six Red Bull BC One All Stars who met in Rio in February. They hung out together, practiced, talked, made plans for the future, and had four days of photo and video shoots.

Members of the Red Bull BC One All Stars will also judge at most of the about 60 Cypher Battles leading up to 6 Qualifiers for the Red Bull BC One this year! While traveling, they always give workshops, so don’t miss out and make sure you get to practice with them when they come to your hometown!

There is a new Red Bull BC One All Stars page on the Red Bull BC One website, where you will be able to check all their updates, photos, videos, and very soon also their tweets!

Greetings from the Guatemalan Association of Hip Hop Artists, TRASCIENDE.
For this year we had programmed for June the First We B*Grilz Central America and Mexico.
Regrettably, our principal donors have retired from the event, because funds have been cut in different organizations.
For this reason we had to make the decision to cancel We B*Girlz for this year. If we don’t have a minimum budget we can’t realize the event with the quality it deserves. We apologize to all that were looking forward to this event, but it is out of our hands. We are so sorry to give you this news.

Tengan todos un buen día y reciban un saludo de la Asociación Guatemalteca de Artistas de Hip Hop, TRASCIENDE.
Nuestra Asociación en Guatemala ha organizado los más grandes eventos en Centro América, como la Batalla del Año Centroamericana 2010 y 2011. El primer Festival de Hip Hop Femenino y seis ediciones del Festival Internacional de Hip Hop. Esto nos ha dado un nombre y credibilidad en cuanto a la calidad de eventos que realizamos. Pero primero que todo ha ayudado a la escena de Hip Hop Centroamericana a crecer, unirse y elevar su nivel profesional.
Para este año teníamos programado realizar la primera eliminatoria centroamericana y de México de We B*Girlz en Junio. Lamentablemente nuestros principales donadores se retiraron del evento debido a que a varias organizaciones se les ha recortado presupuesto. Por este motivo, hemos tenido que tomar la decisión de cancelar el evento el evento de We B*Girlz para este año, ya que si no tenemos el presupuesto mínimo no podemos realizar el evento con la calidad que se merece. No haremos un evento que no cumpla con los requisitos necesarios.
Una disculpa a todos los que esperaban este evento, pero es algo que está fuera de nuestra manos. Sentimos mucho dar esta noticia, quedando siempre en comunicación y en buenos términos para nuestros próximos eventos.

2012 is gonna be an important year for We B*Girlz! For the first time, we will have 16 Qualifiers all over the world! We are looking forward to another great year of our Partnership with Battle of the Year and can promise, the We B*Girlz Finals in Montpellier in November are gonna be off the hook!

We had a great time at BOTY again this year! The 1-on-1 battle, won by Niek from Holland, the We B*Girlz battle, and the crew battle yesterday, won by Vagabond from France who put on a hell of a show! The best for me is meeting old friends and making new ones. And of course hanging with the b-girls.

I asked Eri and Yuri, how much they practice and why Japanese b-girls are so dope. Well, they have a very busy schedule! They both work and give workshops and Yuri is also a student and they practice 3 hours 5 times a week! A typical day for Eri is like this: work from 8 to 5, then teach a dance class, then practice, then 3-4 hours of sleep and back to work! I couldn’t do that!

The French b-girls also practice a lot! They go at it for 3 hours 4 times a week and they both work too, plus one of them is a mom!!!

You girls are such an inspiration to me! You keep me going!!!
