“Hip Hop Ladies with Attitude – Jammin Fresh and Def” organized by Catfight Magazine, Anattitude Magazine and We B*Girlz presents the rich and previously unreleased history of female Hip Hop in general and female graffiti in particular to the public at the Tacheles. Besides the presentation of Hip Hop timelines and portraits of outstanding graffiti women, the visitor will be able to check our selection of female Hip Hop videos and tracks you love and the ones you have never heard of. Our large “Women in Hip Hop” library gives you the chance to boost your Hip Hop knowledge by exploring the history and theory of females in the scene. And to top it off, we’ll have a shop with books, mixtapes, and the coolest female Hip Hop head clothes brought to you by Kandie shop.

Im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Hip Hop Ladies with Attitude“ wird in Berlin im Tacheles eine Retrospektive der New Yorker Fotojournalistin Martha Cooper gezeigt. Seit Ende der 70er Jahre dokumentiert Martha Cooper mit ihrer Kamera nicht nur die Entwicklung der Hip Hop Kultur, sondern bereist mit ihrer Kamera die Welt und porträtiert ihre Wahlheimat New York. Mit über 300 Aufnahmen gibt die Werk-Schau Einblicke in 50 Jahre ihres Schaffens. Bei der Pressekonferenz wir eine Auswahl ihrer Bilder präsentiert, die in mehreren Büchern von „From Here To Fame“ (ansässig im Hip Hop Stützpunkt) publiziert wurden.
